In partnership with Climate Outreach, More in Common has produced Britain Talks Climate. First produced in 2020, this research and communications project leverages More in Common’s Seven Segments to build a deep understanding of Britons’ attitudes towards the climate transition. We have supported the development of a climate toolkit to help climate and environmental campaigners ensure their communications are informed by and effectively mobilise public opinion. Part of this analysis has included an assessment of public attitudes towards heat pumps and electric vehicles, the experiences of those who have adopted the technologies and the most pertinent barriers stopping more Britons from adopting them. In response to the success of this research, our partners commissioned us to undertake a second full edition of Britain Talks Climate to provide a comprehensive analysis of how our new Seven Segments view environmental issues and how attitudes have changed more broadly since the first edition of Britain Talks Climate in 2020.
