Matt joined More in Common in 2026 after working for an MP as a Parliamentary Assistant, where his role centred on policy research, legislative briefings and speechwriting. Since 2018, he has single-handedly run the ElectionMapsUK social media accounts and website, reporting on opinion polls and by-elections as well as hosting dashboards displaying approval rating trackers and the composition of local government. The platform has amassed over 215,000 followers on X, becoming a trusted resource for researchers, the media, and more than half of sitting MPs. Before working in Parliament, Matt studied Economics & Politics at the University of Birmingham.
