About this training

Progressive Activists bring energy, commitment and drive to civil society, but their distinct expectations of the workplace can also create leadership challenges.

Progressive Activists, one of More in Common’s Seven Segments, bring energy, commitment and drive to civil society organisations. They are the backbone of much of the UK’s civil society sector. But they also have distinct values and expectations to the workplace that can create leadership challenges: whether it is pressure on organisation to take political positions beyond the organisation’s core mission, or an internal culture where it becomes hard for colleagues to express different viewpoints

The Progressive Activists report, our most downloaded publication to date, gave the sector a language to talk about these issues in a constructive and non-judgmental way. Our new in-person half-day training course now supports senior leaders, HR teams and board members to put this research into practice.

  • Insight from peers navigating similar challenges
How the session works
