In September - October 2025, on behalf of the New Britain Project, More in Common conducted polling of mothers in Britain who had given birth in the past 10 years, asking them about their experiences of maternity with the NHS. It found that:
- 75% of women with a poor birth experience say it reduced their trust in the NHS
- 58% say it reduced their trust in Government
- 48% say they are more anxious about returning to healthcare settings
- 2 in 5 report lasting physical or mental health impacts
